Downloadable Christian posters
These Christian posters can be downloaded, printed or photocopied (some of the originals are A3 size and I reduce them to A4 size) and placed on public notice boards (larger posters stand out better, but you are more likely to find space for a smaller poster), or anywhere that many people will see them. The tabs at the base of some of the posters with “Tracts4free.WordPress.com” need to be cut vertically with scissors, so individual tabs can be torn off and taken by anyone who is interested. They can then visit Tracts4free.WordPress.com to find out more about Christianity, (from the Christian links page, for example) and hopefully be saved.
Alternatively you could type out a list of tabs (of your church address or pastor’s contact details for example), and place them over the top, then make photocopies of the poster.
Some of these posters have been made with the ladies in mind. I hope you like them.

Red cross on blue background Christian poster background
The idea behind this poster background is that the flags of many countries (perhaps where you live) have a colour scheme of red, white and blue. I hope you will use this background to make posters by writing a gospel or other Christian message in white on this background. Perhaps many people in countries where the flag is red, white and blue will respond favourably to the message written on it, as it subconsciously reminds them of their flag.
“Tracts4free.WordPress.com” is at the base of most posters, so if you don’t want it there you can cut it off.

Eternity posters
Eternity Christian Poster. There is a plaque in Sydney Australia in memory of Arthur Stace, who for many years use to clandestinely write “Eternity” in white chalk on the pavements/sidewalks of Sydney, in the middle of the night. His activities were reported in the newspapers, and for many years the identity of the man who was writing eternity everywhere was a mystery. He was apparently illiterate, and this was his one word gospel message to provoke people to think about their eternal destiny.

Good News Cross plus 1 Cor. 15:3b,4a. Many people these days have a short attention span and will not read anything that is longwinded. Paul’s already succinct presentation of the gospel in 1 Corinthians 15, is made as short as possible here.
Good News (Blue). Blue and white are the colours of the Israeli and Greek flags – perhaps this colour scheme will appeal to people in or from Israel and Greece.
Good News Cross (red and gold), 1 Cor. 15:3b,4a. Gold and red seem to be popular colours in China, and similar to the Chinese flag, and so this poster may appeal to people in or from China, Vietnam, and perhaps some other Asian countries.
“The Way” downloadable gospel poster. Christianity is referred to a few times as “The Way” in Acts. Hopefully this free gospel poster might stimulate people to “ponder the path of their feet”, turn from their sins, and turn to Christ who is the way, the truth and the life.
A few backgrounds below to make your own Christian posters, church notices etc.
“The old rugged cross” background, potential bible verse poster. This background, and those below, could be very versatile backgrounds for Christian posters or gospel posters, where you could add a page of text on top, with almost any Bible verse(s).

“The Harvest” Bible Verse Poster. Psalm 126: 5, 6.
The background to this poster is a painting of mine, an abstract expression of a wheat field. I made it whiter behind where the text would go, as in “the fields are white for harvest”.

The plain black and white collage gospel posters further up this page look sharp and have a stark simplicity which I like, somewhat like Sumi-e (Japanese ink painting, where you try to capture the essence of something with a bare minimum of brush strokes), and stand out quite well on a notice board.
To make them, all you need is some black card for the background, cut to your desired size, (A3 in this example), then type (or write) and print out the verses on a separate piece of A4 paper, and place them on the card with blue tack or glue, and then photocopy them. The photocopies can be stuck on to a notice board with clear tape, blue tack, or drawing pins. Depending on how you look at it, this style of poster is also cheaper than tracts – if you have for example ten tabs at the bottom of the poster, then the poster could be considered to be a tenth of the price of a double-sided, A5 tract, although there is less information on the poster.
In time, I hope to provide a wide variety of “backgrounds” which you can use to make your own Christian posters. You may also like to use some of my paintings, abstract art and/or photos for backgrounds (click on the buttons at the top of the page).
If you have scrap booking skills, and/or calligraphy skills, you should be able to do this easily. If you make something you think is good, and if you are happy to do so, contact me, and if I like them too, I may place them on this site. A better idea may be for you to start your own Christian web site.
There are Christian tracts available in nearly every language, but not many Christian posters with a gospel message in languages other than English. If you are fluent in other languages, there may be a great deal of potential for Christian posters with a gospel message in other languages. I could post them on this site, or perhaps you could make your own web sites in other languages – I have found WordPress.com to be very good, and user friendly. Good luck.
Materials and tips for making free Christian posters or free gospel posters
The following materials can be printed and photocopied to make posters – you can type text on them, and use them as backgrounds for the the page with text. Newsagents and art and craft stores also provide a wide range of papers, but many of the following materials on this site are unique; some are original paintings, some are hand made paper, and are not available elsewhere.
In general, light and warm coloured materials (colours such as creams, yellows, oranges) should be used for the text page (so that the darker text stands out), and darker, cooler coloured materials (colours such as blue-greys, blues, purples, greens) should be used for the background (so that the lighter paper with text stands out against a darker background). In art throughout much of history it is common for artists to make the focal point or centrepiece of a painting a warm colour such as a light orange, with a darker, cooler blue background. If you have the computer skills and a suitable program, light (and warm-coloured) text tends to stand out on a dark (and cool-coloured) background.
It is usually a good idea to keep it simple. This includes keeping some blank space/quieter areas. It is easy to overdo it, or to try to be too clever. In landscape design there is a saying that “less is more”, and complicated designs rarely work. But – keeping it simple can be very hard to do!!!
Click on the “Christian Posters 2” button at the top of the screen for more backgrounds, including green marble, granite and slate. Some of the photos of different types of marble in particular are like natural abstract art works. See also the “Abstract Art” page for more potential materials, and the photos pages.

Rugged timber backgrounds
These photos of rough timber can be printed and used to make a “cross” background, with the lighter timber cross on the dark timber background, for example. Paler, creamy paper which looks like parchment can be bought at a newsagent, for the printed gospel message or Bible verse on top of the wooden cross background. This background should be suitable for a wide range of Bible verses/Christian messages. There are more photos of wood to choose from further down this page.

Abstract painting backgrounds
You can use these to make your own Christian posters.
“Colours of the Cloth”. Free Poster background.
These abstract paintings could be used as a background for gospel message posters, or other Bible verse posters. The colours are those of the tabernacle and the priestly garments in the Old Testament – purple, blue, red, gold and white linen – see Exodus chapters 25, 26, 28 and 35. Another name could be “Coat of many Colours”. For a similar painting in red, gold and black, “Asian Gold”, click on the “Abstract art 2” button at the top of this page.

“Pale parchment”. Hand painted, on hand made Tibetan Lokta paper. A light, warm material which can be colour photocopied, and used to type text or for calligraphy. The typed page can then be glued to a larger and darker/cooler background. The edges of the paper could be torn to give a rough old look.
